MEGHAN Markle didn’t disappoint in the fashion stakes as she made her first public appearance with new fiance Prince Harry.
The Suits actor, 36, looked elegant in a belted white coat by Canadian brand Line The Label, which she wore over a £437 ($765) dark green dress by Parosh.
It appeared as if the Meghan Effect was already under way with Line The Label’s website crashing because of the numbers of people trying to access it.
It wasn’t the first time Meghan appeared wearing clothes from the brand. She previously wore a Line The Label trench coat while attending the Invictus Games earlier this year.
Meghan completed her chic look with a towering pair of cream £369 ($646) Aquazzura heels, and £850 ($1489) Les Plaisirs de Birks 18k gold earrings featuring white opals by Birks.
The couple chose to hold their first photo call in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, much loved by Harry’s late mother Diana.
Prince Harry designed Meghan’s dazzling engagement ring, which was made by Cleave & Company, Court Jewellers and Medallists to The Queen.
The ring features two diamonds which are from Diana’s personal collection, either side of a central diamond from Botswana.
Earlier, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh said they were “delighted” for their grandson and his bride-to-be, and “wish them every happiness”.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said: “We are very excited for Harry and Meghan. It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
Meghan’s parents wished their daughter and Harry “a lifetime of happiness”, adding: “We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents.”
